The CERTY Assessment And Certification Process Comprise The Following:
CERTY will request information to determine if it can provide the required service upon having received a Certification query. If possible, the Inquirer will be offered a service quote and also a CERTY application form.
Once the completed application form is received, arrangements will be made for a two-step initial evaluation process. The main objectives of the Stage 1 process will be the evaluation of the organization’s documentation and the preparation to enable the Stage 2 assessment to proceed. This usually includes a site visit and discussions with the company management. The main objective of the Stage 2 evaluation is to verify the management system implementation by the requirements of the relevant criteria and to confirm the effectiveness of the system. Reports from both evaluations are submitted for review to a Certification decision-maker and sent to the client organization’s management representative, highlighting the process requirements of the corrective measures (if necessary) for the Certification process to be completed. After reviewing the information provided by the applicant, the evaluation report(s), corrective action, as well as the evaluator’s recommendation, the decision to grant or reject the Certification will be made.
Certification will be granted where the assessment process confirms that the management system meets the requirements of the standard (s). If the CERTY is unable to provide the Certification, the applicant will be advised of the reasons for rejecting the Certification and the action required for a favorable Certification decision. To maintain Certification, an annual monitoring program will be prepared in the third year, including a reassessment assessment. CERTY will act against Certification if the Client’s Certified Management System fails to consistently or seriously fail to comply with the requirements of the Standard (s) or does not allow the Client to perform monitoring or reassessment at the required frequencies. In such instances, the Certification will be suspended until the client takes appropriate action. A Certified client may voluntarily request suspension. The suspension period should not be longer than six months in most cases.
If the issue that caused the suspension is resolved satisfactorily, CERTY will restore the suspended Certification. If the client fails to resolve the issue within the allotted time, the Certification will be revoked, or the appropriate scope reduced.
